GrandMA3

Our lighting hire stock expanded again this month with the addition of a grandMA3 light.

This desk is one of the most versatile lighting consoles available, featuring 60 physical playbacks, 16 assignable x-keys and a dedicated master area.

It provides the perfect combination of power and physical size and will be getting a lot of use in the coming months!

8m Trailer Stage

We’ve also upgraded our trailer stage offering this month, bringing in a new 8m x 6m trailer stage from Stagemobil. It represents a significant upgrade, not least with regard to set up time; one person can built it in just 30 minutes.

The stage is perfect for festivals, and can be supplied on its own or with a full sound and/or lighting package.

Scarborough Spa

We were back at Scarborough Spa again this month, putting in racks and stacks for Dexys’ show in the Spa’s Grand Hall.

We flew 12 a side L-Acoustics KARA II, with KS28 subs, A15 outfills and X8s as lip fills, powered by our 4-way LA12X racks.

Local Elections May 2024

We provided an AV, lighting and staging solution at Hull’s Guildhall for the local elections at the beginning of the month.

This included a wide range of 4K Screens, from 55” up to 75”, distributed throughout the building to serve as digital noticeboards, news monitors and assist with vote counting. We also provided extra lighting through the building and a small stage within the council chamber itself.

Festival Dry Hires

Festival season has begun! We had equipment out across several festival sites. This month as we provided equipment for the main technical contractors at Bearded Theory and Slam Dunk North and South.

Prep for Live at the Piece Hall

Preparations have been in full swing for this year’s run of shows at Halifax Piece Hall.

The control and drive systems have been out in the workshop for programming and testing this week, in preparation for a summer of music from artists including Grace Jones, The Streets, Pixies and Status Quo.

We’re supplying a DiGiCo SD12 96 with SD rack as the house monitor desk and a DiGiCo Quantum 225 Pulse, also with SD rack, for house FOH control. Both the desks and the racks are using HMA Optocore.

The drive system is custom built in house and consists of an Outline Newton 16+8 for multiple console input feeding an RME Madiface providing AVB outputs, via L-Acoustics LS10s, to the LA12X amplifiers with analogue fall over.

This will drive a system consisting of L-Acoustics K2, KARA II, A15s, A10s and KS28 subs.
