August 2024

Humber Street Sesh

We were back on the marina again this year for the Humber Street Sesh 2024.

We provided sound, lights, staging and crew for the Main Stage, Alt-Main and BBC Introducing stages and the Silent Disco.

Our new Stagemobil XLT 8m trailer stage got one of its first outings, serving as the festival’s Main Stage.

Live from the Yard

We provided sound, lighting, rigging and crew for the first Live from the Yard at Zebedee’s Yard in Hull. There were three nights of shows from headliners Razorlight, Ocean Colour Scene and Ministry of Sound Classical.

We put in a L-Acoustics K2, KARA II, A-10 and KS28 system with lighting fixtures including our Ayrton Perseo Profile Ss and Robe Paintes.

Stonedead Festival

Saxon headlined the one-day, one-stage rock festival at Newark Showground; we provided a full sound, lighting and rigging package.

We put in 12 a-side L-Acoustics K2, with A15 side fills, A10 front fills and KS28 subs, and a lighting package that included our robe Spiiders, Paintes and 150 LEDBeams.

There as a lot of positive reaction to this year’s festival - we couldn’t help but notice one particular comment in an industry group which said that “whoever was responsible for the sound at Stonedead Festival on Friday and Saturday deserves a medal. It was just brilliant.”

Live at the Piece Hall

Three months of shops at Halifax Piece Hall came to and end in August. 35 shows from a total of 73 artists, with Noel Gallagher, PJ Harvey, Fatboy Slim among those to visit the Piece Hall this month.

We provided sound, lighting, rigging and crew for the full summer season; 24 L-Acoustics K2 made up the main hangs, with a DiGiCo Quantum 225 at FOH and SD12-96 for monitors.

The lighting rig included a range of fixtures from Ayrton, SGM and Robe.

We were delighted with the positive feedback many of the shows received, particularly from others in the industry - one member of an industry Facebook group described the PJ Harvey show as “possibly the best sounding gig I’ve ever attended”!

The Hatchling

We provided PA and coms equipment and crew for The Hatchling in Wakefield – part of the city’s Our Year creative project.

We put PA systems on three separate sites across Wakefield city centre, ready for the eponymous hatchling’s journey through the city.

Freedom Festival

Freedom Festival 2024 took place on the last weekend of the month, with events across Hull city centre.

We put in a range of sound and lighting equipment throughout the festival area, including in Hull Minster, Zebedee’s Yard, Queen Victoria Square, and Stage@The Dock.
